What else can reduce tax??

Yesterday after I roughly entered the salary info into the e-filing, I noticed I still need to pay A LOT! Why? Why is this happening to me? Last year I need to pay a lot and it happened this year too? I remembered last year after I paid the income tax, I told myself I need to donate more and buy more books to reduce tax, so this year I tried my best to donate more and I buy lot's of books. But one thing I missed out is most of the places I donated, it's not tax deductable. hehe.. as for the books, I only managed to buy around RM 500 books, so cannot fully utilise the book/magazines column which is RM 1000 max.

Hmm...this year, I shall donate more and buy more books!! What else can be used to reduce tax ar?

How to terminate your MBF Card?

I applied the MBF credit card few years ago but i rarely used it. Throughout the year, I've applied more and more credit cards and it's getting very hard to maintain. Therefore I decided to terminate my MBF card, since I seldom used it. How to terminate? Don't know wor.. so i called their customer service to ask.

Apparently they allowed us to call to terminate, hmm, good wor like that, no need to personally go to the card centre. The only thing is that we need to call within office hour which is from 9am to 6pm. I called at 6pm++ so the customer service ppl asked me to call again tomorrow. I then asked her to ask her colleague to call me. Wuahahahaha, why want to waste my money to call them? Asked them to call me lar.. hehe..

So if you are thinking of terminating your MBF credit card too, you can call them from 9am-6pm lar, else? leave a message and ask them to call you back!

Ws called me yesterday...
Ws: Hey, I saw your post on the 'Get rid of the cupboard smell', I want to ask you ar, does it work? If yes i also want to try leh..
J: erm, actually it doesn't really work leh, i can't smell the perfume also when i open my cupboard. but i can still smell it from the cotton balls lar. hehe..
Ws: Har, really ar? aiyar, i thought if it works then i also want to try ma..
J: but then again, maybe i used the light scent perfume lar, maybe you should try a stronger perfume.
Ws: like that ar? ok lar...
Another lesson learned, don't trust everything you read from the magazine unless you've tried it out yourself. :p but then again, maybe a stronger perfume may works, who knows.. you try lar, and let me know. hehe..

Get rid of the cupboard smell

Read about this tip from a magazine. In order to prevent towels and sheets from having the cupboard smell, spray your favorite scent onto cotton balls. Once dry, place them in the corners of the closet and on shelves. Dont' believe what you read unless you try it out yourself. so..it's experiment time!!

Favorite scent? hmm, i have lot's of perfume. You know ppl said perfume should not use more than 2 yrs as the scent will fade away, but how to finish all these perfume? even u spray when you go pasar malam also cannot finish lar.. hehe..so maybe i can use these old perfume for this little experiment.

cotton balls from guardian, RM 2.80 per packet

take a few cotton balls and put in a bowl or box.
I made a paper box for this.

hmm, which perfume to use?
let's see, which is the oldest...
body shop perfume!!

spray spray spray and leave it dry.
then put into the cupboard.
i'll let you know whether it works or not later lar.
:p

How to get rid of tea stain from thermal mug? ~ Part 2

I've tried using lemon juice to get rid of the tea stain on thermal mug but it doesn't work. This time i decided to try to clean with baking soda.

Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
80g for RM 0.80.
I bought it at the shop that sells bakery stuff.

thermal mug that full with yellowish tea stain.

I tried to google to see whether I can find any instructions on how much baking soda to be used to clean the thermal mug. unfortunately, I can't find any. Since there's no instruction, i shall just try it out myself. I used two teaspoons of baking soda, mix with warm water and soak it over night. The next day i used a sponge to clean it. Some part can be cleaned easily but some still not able to clean. I think maybe i didn't use enough baking soda. Therefore, i used another 3 teaspoons of baking soda + warm water and soaked for another night. This time, i am able to clean every part easily.

see the difference? the before and after?
baking soda really works but make sure you used
enough baking soda.
(5 teaspoons of baking soda + warm water
for a 0.5 litre thermal mug)
try it out yourself!!

How to get rid of tea stain from thermal mug?

I have a habit of drinking green tea everyday (working days only, hehe..) using my thermal mug, can keep warm mar.. drinking is good, but the tea stain makes me feel very headache, the whole mug looks so dirty, yellowish!! and to clean them is not easy, you need to scrub (i also dono whether can scrub or not. but i cannot tahan the tea stain, so dun care lar...) real hard to get rid of those tea stain..and it will come back again after 2 weeks, no matter how u wash everyday.

I decided to google about it and i saw some ppl suggested that used lemon juice or baking soda to clean it. Well, not really sure wat is baking soda, but i have lemons in my fridge!! haha, it's experiement time!! i cut lemon into half, 'hmm seh dak' to use the whole lemon. hehe.. squeeze it and pour it into my thermal mug. then i add in hot water and soak over night.

the next day i checked, hmm, although it's not 100% clean, but it does helps, perhaps i need to use the whole lemon la.. hehe... i should try baking soda next time, see which one is better!!

then wash it ..

cut cut cut into small pieces..

How to pick a pineapple

Pineapple is one of the ingredients that i need in a recipe that i want to try but i don't know how to choose one, hmmm....

Luckily two of my guy colleagues, teh & CC offered to help. CC told me he knows how to choose
a good and sweet pineaple after consulting his parents. So here's what he told me:

1. the smaller the better
2. the diamond shape on the pineapple, the bigger the better.
3. the heavier the better

At first i don't really trust him, but after heard him talked like an expert, i told myself, why not give it a try? no harm what.. right?

so there we go, after lunch on friday, we went to giant and began our journey to hunt for a good and sweet pineapple.

teh & cc actualy picked for me, teh went korek korek the pineapple underneath. and cc started
to give comments, this one good, this one black not good, that one shape not so nice and etc.

so basically i just stood there and do nothing, so finally we got a pineapple!!

the Josapine Pineapple,
costs RM2.49. hmm,
really nice smell and very heavy!!

I was not free to cut the pineapple so i waited till saturday. When i cut it, it's a bit too ripe, there's two parts already spoiled. should have cut it on friday itself.

after cut, become so small...

this one - to be makan

and this is for my recipe.

hmm, how it taste? apart from the parts there is spoiled, overall still sweet and really smells nice.

As a conclusion, guys also know how to choose a pineapple one.. hehe.. thanks ya, teh & cc!!
