Aiyor...so forgetful lar...

I received a sms yesterday afternoon. It was from UOB saying that my payment for my UOB credit cards is overdue and asked me to pay as soon as possible. Normally when I received the credit card statement, I will pay within a day or two to prevent I forget to pay later. I don't recall I have any unpaid statement lying on my table, which means, most probably I did not receive the August statement at all. That is why I never pay!!

I called UOB customer service to tell them I did not receive the statement and requested them to resend the statement to me. They told me I will be charged for the late payment but I can call to request to waive it when I received the resent August statement. I did ask for the amount that I need to pay and I paid it immediately after dinner yesterday. So everything settled and I will call to request to waive the late payment as soon as I get the statement.

Later that night, I found the August statement on my table, underneath/in between some books!! OMG, I did receive the August statement after all and I totally forget about it!! Hmmmm.... can I still request to waive the late payment, since it's me who forgets to pay it and not statement lost? hehe...

No No No! I don't want the card!!

Time flies, it's Monday again. Monday is the day where I will be 99% not enough sleep, super busy, traffic super jam and .. getting annoying phone calls! I got 3 calls from HSBC today telling me they want to offer me a Mastercard, which has a separate limit from my visa card.

Since last week, I had been receiving calls from HSBC telling me about this separate limit thing. I turned down their offer, told them I don't need another card. Few days later, I got the same call again from a different person, and again, i said No. Then the next day, got the call again and i said NO again. This morning, received the call from a gal, speaking Chinese. I straight away said NO to her when she mentioned this Mastercard. Then after lunch, I got another phone call from another gal, this time in English. Again, I told her I'm not interested. Then guess what, 15 minutes later, i received ANOTHER call from a guy this time, speaking chinese, asking me whether I want to take the Mastercard or not. I told him .. Do you know I've received about 6 calls from you guys since last week asking me about this Mastercard and every time I also said NO??

Argggg..no matter how many times you called, the answer is NO NO NO NO and NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!! Don't they get it? ^#*$&#&^$&#$*&#$&#$*#(&$

You sure you want to apply HSBC card?

When I told my friends I wanted to apply HSBC card few months ago, my friends warned me, are you sure you want to apply? Why? HSBC card got quite a lot of benefits, what's wrong with applying it? Well, according to my friend, there's nothing wrong with the card, but their customer service ppl are really very annoying.. oh ya? oh YES, now i really feel it.

Yesterday morning i received a call from HSBC, i told him I'm not free to talk at the moment, and he said he will call back. Few hours later, I received another call from HSBC, this time calling from a girl. Again, I told her I'm not free to talk and she said she will call back too. Guess what, few hours later, another guy call me again from HSBC.. OMG!!!

This morning when i just reached my office, i received a call. yes, from HSBC again!!! wah-seh.. they are really really really very annoying!!!!!!!!!!!! Why don't i just speak to them? Well, although they said it will only take a minute to SHARE the information with me, but normally it takes more than that! When you said you are not interested, they will keep repeating that piece of information, again and again and again and keep asking you why you are not interested!! arggghhhh...pls pls, call other ppl lar, skip my name..skip my nameeeeeeeee.......

Buy a HP desktop worth RM 1399 for only RM 290!!!

My brother called me the other day and asked me.. Hey, RM 290 for a HP desktop, worth to buy or not? I was in the middle of nowhere (hehe, no la, i'm working lar) when he called. The first reaction i gave was, 'huh? wat you talking?'

He then asked me to go check out the citibank website, look for the Citibank Air Asia Credit Card. Ooo, that one ar? Must read all the terms and conditions wor.. I already kena con so many times by credit card companies, sure got to be careful lar. hehe..

"Buy HP Compaq Presario PC worth RM 1399 for only RM 290!!" These words were in bold, blind also can see la. hehe.. Anyway, it's quite attractive, RM 290 for a desktop wor, a monitor also worth more than that la. right? Wait, i saw something, they will charged another RM 150 for delivery charges.. hmm, RM 440, still worth it what... How's the specs like?
AMD Sempron
256MB memory
80GB HDD
DVD Rom
17" CRT monitor
Microsoft Vista Starter Edition
Free 1-month StreamyX(Hotspot connectivity)
Ei, not bad mar, for a RM 440 desktop, right? Even better than my desktop at home ler. hehe... i told my brother to go ahead and buy it lar, should be ok one, not unless there's some extra terms n conditions that they never showed it to us as i've read every single word!!

HSBC credit card application? I got the card in 10 days!!

I applied HSBC credit card on 25th November (Sunday) when i saw their booth at Carrefour. 2 days later, which is a Tuesday, I received a call from HSBC to verify whether I did apply the card from them or not.

Yesterday, (4th December) I received the pin for my HSBC credit card. That was really fast. If we minus out weekend, it only took them 7 days to approve my card! and guess what? I received the HSBC card today!! So 10 days altogether including weekend to get my card approved and to get the credit card!!

That's really the fastest credit card application I've ever seen. You guys got any application that is faster than this?

Shell Citibank Card? Not worth to apply!

FL took a brochure back from the Shell petrol station when we were filling up petrol. What brochure? The Shell Citibank Credit Card. I did write a post about the Shell Citibank credit card last month, I wasn't sure whether it is worth to apply or not.

I flipped through and see whether i can find anything. you know.. I still don't believe these banks will just simply gives cash rebate to their customers, us! Well, u can't blamed me for that, after kena con by so many credit cards companies/banks, I have learned!! learned what? learned to read between the lines, learned to read the small small tiny little terms and conditions!

There were not much of information about the card, basically said upon successful application submitted between 15 November 2007 and 13 January 2008, you get to enjoy DOUBLE rebates within the first 60 days from your card issuance. Well, this is attractive!! Let see what else, they will only give us the good details and hide the bad. OK, for gold card holders, you will entitled for a 5% rebate on shell fuel if you have carried forward balance of more than RM 4K! wait a minute, does that means I have to have at least RM 4001 outstanding balance in my shell card to enjoy that 5% rebate?

5% rebate for > RM 4K outstanding balance, 2.5% rebate for <= to RM 4K outstanding balance for gold card holders. As for classic card holders, 3% rebate for > RM 2K outstanding balance and 1.5% for <= RM 2K outstanding balance. Ah-HA! told you!! banks won't be so nice to give us these cash rebates. The more outstanding balance you have, the more cash rebate they give you, of cos the more interests you got to pay them lar, so who wins? you say leh???

Citibank Shell Card, worth or not worth it?

I was kind of interested with the newly launched Citibank Shell Card. What is so special about this card? well, 5% cash rebate when you pump petrol at the Shell Petrol Station. 5% quite a lot ler, some more they now having promotion, from nov till jan, instead of 5% cash rebate, they are giving out 10% cash rebate! That means if you pump RM 60, you will get back RM 6! Attractive right??

Ya, all the things you hear and see definitely is attractive, they will always tell you all the great things mar, what about the bad things? all the bad things will only appear in tiny little words under the terms n condition lor.. Scared already lar, kena conned so many times... hehe..

so now i planned to wait first, wait till ppl around us actually used the card, see what they said about the card, and then only consider worth it or not. Do you have the card? Is it another con case?

You are not allowed to cancel the card!!

I gave my number to the customer service ppl to ask them to call me back regarding the cancellation on the visa card that they automatically apply for me. So this morning I received a call from the MBF, she asked me why i do not want the visa card that they gave me, it waived 2 years annual fees and does not have a combine limit with my current card.

Well, I told her i got too many cards already and i don't need another one. She said even you don't used it you can just put it at home what, it's free anyway. So funny lar, if i don't need the card what for i apply for the card? If leave it at home scared later kena stolen, then have to go through all the trouble to go terminate the card, right or not?

Then she said ok, will cancel the card for me, then i told her i wished to terminate my the other MBF card as well, the mastercard. She said, oh, they waived 2 yrs annual fees for me for that card, so i CAN't cancel it till year 2008. So keep it till year 2008. Wah, got such thing one ar? waived for me means i cannot cancel the card??? %&%&^(&$(#*^&^%#$#$

Statement of account? Where's the credit card?

I received a pin from MBF 2 weeks ago, this pin belongs to a visa card. I only have a mastercard with MBF, since when i got this visa card? I called the customer service to check with them and apparently they AUTOMATICALLY apply on behalf of me using my details on the mastercard. I intend to terminate master card already, and now they are sending me another card? Oh my, i told the customer service that i do not want the card but he said i have to wait for my card to arrive then only i can request for termination. Ok fine, so i wait..

2 weeks later, which is today, i received a statement of account from MBF. At first i thought it's for my master card, but then when i looked carefully this statement of account is actually for my visa card. I don't even have the card with me and they are sending me statement of account already? What is wrong with them??

Immediately i called the customer service again, they checked for me and found that the card is still with HQ. So again, i told her i do not want the card, and she said she will asked the person in charged to call me during office hour about the cancellation.

I hate these kind of automatically apply cards. I do not asked for one so pls don't send me one. I have to go through all the hassle to go cancel a card which i didn't even ask for! Well, i'm going to terminate both master and visa card from MBF.
