Budget 2008

Everybody is talking about Budget 2008, this morning on my way to office, the whole 40 minutes the radio DJ was talking about it. Well, we do hope for a lot of things, hopefully the outcome won't disappoint us.

As for me, i also have a few expectations, well, firstly, hopefully next year we don't need to pay tax!! (haha, not possible right?) Secondly, i hope for the increment on cigarettes, yes increase, increase and increase and increase!! for those that have no idea why i hope for that, pls refer to this.

Finally, i hope for more rebates on EPF and Insurance.. more and more and more!! Can my 3 little wishes come true? Let's pray...

What's on your desk?

Hmm, my desk ar? I got some documents, some files, a calendar, lotion, cup, one tin of sour plum, a plastic of sour plum, a packet of sour plum. wuahahaha, i know wat you're thinking! NO, i'm not pregnant. I just love to eat sour stuff, hmm most of the gals like sour food wat...

i think my desk is considered very little things already, i've saw my friend's desk (she showed me her pic taken in office), got all sorts of patung lar, then got plant lar, got a lot of key chains lar.. got cute cute cups lar. got mirror lar, lotions lar.. and hor, i really dun see any documents on her table!! geng!!

How old is your biscuits?

I was looking for something to munch just now when i saw my old old biscuits. Old? ya old, cos it sat quietly in the tupperware dono for how long already, till i totally forgot about it!! I should have bought those transparent tupperware, so that i can see what's inside..

After i found the old biscuits, i decided to open up all my tupperwares, to check is there anything inside.. i got 3 big big, 2 medium size and 2 small small tupperwares in the cupboard. so guess what i found? one big packet of biscuits, 2 small packet of biscuits, some biscuits i bought from pasar malam and the chinese new year cookies!!!! oh my god.. it's already September and i still got chinese new year's cookies!! can u imagine?? i wonder still can eat or not, maybe can keep for next year CNY ! HAHA!!

I decided to bring some of the biscuits to office, those that you don't feel eating at home, when in office you will feel that it's nice, and finished up fast.. maybe office too boring, so we always find things to eat. no wonder i gained so much weight after i finished college.. ~sigh

Another Kena Conned Case!!

Few weeks ago, my colleague told me he placed a deposit of RM500 to book a unit at this XX Condo in Selayang, from developer Mxxx. Pxxx. Sdn Bhd. Actually he has not decide whether to buy or not but due to the discount for early birds and also the sales person said deposit are refundable, he just booked first la, no harm mar...

After he did some research and asked from ppl that stayed in condo (me la. hehe..), he decided not to buy condo as there's a lot of rules and regulations need to be followed. He called to cancel and asked for the refund. Guess wat happened?? The sales person told him that the RM500 are not refundable!!! WHAT!! that day say can refund, now say cannot? The sales person then explained that, oh, the boss just changed the rules!!

Have you guys heard such thing b4? Changed the rules? It's a con case lah!! How can you just changed the rules like that? RM500 is not a small amount leh..It's like they are forcing ppl to buy their unit like that... My colleague then called the boss, and the boss said, oh ya, rules had been changed, but will TRY TO APPEAL, call back one month later lar.. and then the chasing game began, called boss, calls being transfered to B, then B said should called C, C said should asked the boss....

So far, i have friends that booked then asked for refund, all refunded without any problem. This is the first time i heard that deposit are not refundable!! I asked him to keep calling and keep pressuring them in order to get back the RM 500, if still no reply, go to the office personally and talk face to face with the boss. The best is in front of all other buyers, let them know something is not right happening!!

Yummmm SENG!!!!!!

We bought this wine tasting kit few months ago, on a wine warehouse sales @ kepong. The reason we bought? Cute!! haha, it's really cute lar, 5 small little bottles of wine and another reason? it's only RM25. I don't like the taste of red wine, or white wine. I prefer beer, or even chivas and etc than wine but FL prefer wine, so all these 5 bottles, all his!!

How much do you earn??

Sometimes i do hope that i'm in the HR dept, why? cos i can know everyone's salary mar.. hehe.. ya i know, sounds stupid rite? but don't tell me that you're not curious about how much ur colleagues are earning..

let's say you see ur colleague working as a normal executive, drives a nice car, wear branded watch, always change hp, stay in big houses.. where else u urself , also an executive, couldn't afford all those things..for sure you will start to wonder, how much he earns every month to be able to afford all these? got another part time job izzit??

curiosity, everyone also got lar.. although curios we should not do something bad just to satisfy our curiosity.. just let our curiosity kill us la.. :p sometimes when you think about it, don't know is better than know, cos when you don't know you won't compare, when you know, you will compare and make your life miserable!!

hmm...being a HR also not very good lar.. although you know everyone's salary, but you can't tell anybody. hehe.. i think the feeling is even worst!! :p

Who doesn't have a blog??

I met a friend on msn yesterday, we chat chat chat then suddenly we talked about blogs.. of cos i won't missed the opportunity to intro my blog to her lar... then we exchanged blog's url.. one to one? haha.. no no.. one to FOUR!!! me, i have one blog, and she, got FOUR!!

actually one person with 4 blogs is nothing, a lot of ppl maintained a lot of blogs, writing about different categories. but her blog are a bit different. she got one personal blog, that writes about herself, then another one, writing about the husband (yes, not the husband's blog, it's her blog where she writes everything about the husband!!), then the baby's blog (her one yr old baby...) and.. the pet's blog!!! i almost wanna faint when she told me she got a blog for the pet dog.. OMG!!! GENG!!!

i'm so out lar.. i only got one blog, i probably need to have a blog for my plant, one for my car, one for my chair and etc..

I'm getting old...

Have you ever heard of this? When you like bitter gourd (苦瓜), it means you are getting old... I've heard this from a few friends, every time when i see my friends (around same age with me) eating bitter gourd, i'll say 'haha, you're getting old already...' and guess what.. now it's other ppl's turn to say this to me...

when do i start eating bitter gourd? I myself also don't remember.. i only remembered last yr i tried this bitter gourd soup at one restaurant and i feel it's tasty.. then another time i ate at another restaurant, ordered the bitter gourds with eggs and i like it as well.. from totally not eating, to eating a bit, to accepting it.. although i haven't reached the stage of LOVING it, but i think sooner or later i'll reached there...

not only that, i started to eat things that i normally don't eat.. nuts, tou fu.....~sigh... i'm getting old la...

Fu Shan Moon Cake (富山)

(didn't know buy 3 also will give a box..)

Only managed to take 2 pictures on these 2 moon cakes, the other one i didn't try.. How much? i also not sure. hehe.. but not everywhere you can get Fu Shan's moon cake.. so if you want to try, you can go to One-U somewhere near Jusco there.. they bought this there..

My Corelle Dinner Set

Finally i saw the Corelle plates that i asked FL's brother to buy for us.. hmm, although he did not manage to get the set i like, Corelle Plum Dinner Set, but the set he helped us to buy is quite nice too, simple and nice!!

USD 20++ for all this? totally worth it!! if i bought the same set in Malaysia, it probably would costs more than RM500!! (one big plate already RM50++!!) So remember, if you go US next time, remember to buy Corelle plates!!

Same item, different place..

Have you encounter the similar situation before? You saw something in the shopping complex, it's really nice, unique and you loved it. But after you bought it and placed it at your house, it becomes so normal and it doesn't seems so nice anymore. Why??

I bought a RM500 cupboard @ Ikea few months ago, it was like a love at first sight when i saw the cupboard. Unique design, simple and nice, and it stands out among all the others cupboards. But after i bought it and placed inside my room, it becomes a normal cupboard that doesn't seems like it worth for RM500... when i told my friends how much i bought, a lot of my friends said i'm being conned. haha.. then i said i bought it @ Ikea one.. then they will take another look at the cupboard, examine properly and then said.. hmm.. no wonder lar..

It makes me wonder, why it looks so different? the item is the same, just that the place is not the same only mar. hehe..izzit the lighting effects that caused the difference? or izzit the other display items that makes the difference? and i've made a conclusion out of it.. if next time u go shopping and u saw a nice item... look around and see what else are beside the item and consider to buy them all!!! haha..good suggestions leh...

Before and after rain..

I hate the time before rain, it's stuffy, the sky is dark and it's making my mood bad! when it's stuffy, immediately you can see me started feeling a bit moody, then more moody then super moody...and when it still not yet started to rain, then i will be in a super bad mood situation already...

but after rain... my bad mood will go.. you probably will say, huh? whether also can affect your mood? haha, oh yes... as i said in my profile, i'm really a moody person.

Sometimes i do not understand, whether we are the ones paying them? or they are the ones paying us!! Don't have any idea what i'm talking? read more...

well, i'm talking about those restaurants lar, erm, correction. should be those restaurants that is very famous, famous of their food. When they got fame, they will get a lot of customers, when they got lot's of customers, it means their restaurant always full house. when their restaurant always full house, their attitude to the customer will changed!! changed in what sense? of cos NOT GOOD la...

we are the one making them rich, why they treat us like tat? and the worst part is, we are willing to be treated like tat!! OMG, are we some kind of psycho, pay ppl money to shout at us, or show us their black face for just a bowl of mee/rice??

last time, when ppl told me that this place food is nice, i will for sure find one day go try it out. but soon, i realize that these restaurants, MOST of them got one thing in common, their food, may or may not be that nice (different ppl different taste mar..), but their attitude.. mostly is very bad....

how bad? let me give u an example, you cannot asked them why your food has not arrived, they will show u their super black face, that you can be interpreted as.. if you can't wait just GET LOST la!!!.. or when they take down your order, you cannot THINK what you want to eat, the best is when they asked you wat to eat, the next SECOND you can give them a reply, if you wait for a minute or so to reply them, they will show your their super impatient face which you can be interpreted as.. hey!!!, faster made up ur mind lar, u think we only serve u ar... and of cos, there's more, i'm just pointing out a few..

after all these bad experience, i decided not to be so 'fan jin' (犯贱) anymore.. it's not like after eating your food i will fly, sometimes even so so and so tell me that the place is nice, i also dun feel that the food is really that nice.. anyway, i will first asked them.. how is the attitude of the staff there, i feel that it's very important, cos i'm there to enjoy my food with a happy mood, not to go there make myself unhappy, if you are unhappy, serves u dragon meat you also dun feel like eating lar.. right or not!!

What makes me stop visiting a website.

I like to surf net, I can surf for all sorts of things. Read ppl's blogs, read the news, read about the technology, bitchy news about actor actresses, how to make money and etc. In other words, i can spend hours surfing net.

I've been to a lot of websites, if the content attracts my attention, I will put it in my bookmark and will visit it again soon. But there's 2 things that makes me stop visiting the site, even the content is attractive.. what are they?

The loading time of a website that is VERY slow. I hate those site with flash on their introductory page. They must have an option to let me choose whether i want to view it or not. My line here is not very fast (u all know which line i'm subscribing la..), sometimes it takes more than 15 minutes to load a flash page, visiting sites with a lot of flash is a no-no to me... I will try my very best not to visit those sites with heavy flash, unless the flash can be loaded fast!!

And another thing is the pop ups advertisements. I don't mind seeing ads on a website, but pop ups advertisements is really very annoying, especially those that forced you to pay attention to it (you need to close it before you can read the content of the website).

Other than the 2 things mentioned above, nothing can stop me from reading the content on the website. I believe a lot of ppl out there agrees with me, so if you want to attract more ppl to visit your site, remember not to have the two things ya!!

A habit of mine...

There is one magazine that i must buy every month. If i don't buy it, i will feel uncomfortable (zao san hmm zhui choy). It's already like a habit to me, when reached end of the month, automatically i will go look for the magazine. what magazine that makes me so crazy about it? it's -> CLEO.

I first started to read CLEO about 5 years ago, a friend of mine borrowed her past months copy to me. I found it quite interesting, especially the articles. Unlike some other magazines, 90% are advertisement. This CLEO, it has the combination of advertisement & articles. and dont' forget about the contests, I've won quite a lot of prizes from CLEO, totally worth for the money i spend on the magazine.

Since then, i started to buy CLEO myself, every month without failed. The first 2 years, i read the whole magazine, from top to bottom, then slowly, i started to pick the interesting articles to read and go through the new fashion and new stuff available in the market. Then there's a few months where the articles are not so interesting, and later, i found myself only flipping through, there's even one month, after i bought i just left it there on my table. I started to wonder, am i too busy or wat? why don't i read it?

Buying CLEO every month already become my habit.. I'm a CLEO ADDICT!!!!! ~sigh.. I will start forcing myself to read again, if not i will not let myself to buy ANYMORE!!!

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!!!

This morning traffic very smooth, i guess a lot of ppl on leave today, how nice.. When i came out of my condo this morning, i saw a couple, carrying luggage waiting for taxi, seems like they are going somewhere lar.. how nice.. travel... then reached office, read a few blogs, they said they won't be updating their blog over the weekend as they are going somewhere...all also go travel ar.. i so so so so ENVY la!!!!!

I've always wished that I can go travel at least twice a year (fyi, still have not achieved..) . Not necessary have to go to Europe countries (which i nv been to), can be somewhere near like Bangkok, HK, Bali and etc.. But then again, easy to say, hard to do, with so many commitments, if i can afford to go travel once a yr is considered very good already...

~sigh.. oh ya, Happy National Day!! Merdeka!!!!!

p/s: You can still check on my blog over the weekends. I will be sitting at home, updating my blog, cos i am NOT going anywhere.. :p

The GHOST month

The ghost month? Yes, i'm referring to the 7th month of every year (chinese calendar). You probably heard a lot of "stories" on the month of 7, stories heard from parents, relatives or even friends!! Besides all these stories, there's also a lot of rules, don't go out too late at night lar, must 'bai bai' lar and etc.. Younger generation probably never follow but the older generation, most of them believes and do follow the rules.

I've heard a lot of stories on the ghost month. I remembered when I was renting a room during college time, one night, my land lord suddenly running out from his room to the living room, looking pale and shocked, trembling and told us that he saw something 'white' flying in his room!! Something white? is that his own powerful imagination or what??

But there's one thing that I noticed, if someone is very sick, and the sickness drags till the month of 7, normally it's difficult for them to pass the ghost month. You can say it's just coincidence but it happened to my father, my grandmother, and recently FL's relative, all on the month of 7!!

My Very First Payment from...

HA HA HA!!! Today is such a happy day!! WHY?? Today I received the very first payment, the money that I earned from here!! here? where's here?? my blog lar.. hehe... dont' asked me how much i received lar, cos i won't tell you. hehe.. it's not a lot, but it's really a motivation for me to keep writing and keep posting!!

Saaadddd Movie... always makes me cry....

Have you heard of this song? I knew this song since i was very little. no lar, it's not that i like oldies, cos my aunt likes oldies, so whenever she drives, she will always put on these songs, that is why i'm quite familiar with these songs..

i'm not going to talk about oldies today. I'm going to talk about movies. I personally dislike sad movies.. korean series? NO THANKS!!! japan series? NO THANKS TOO!! why? i did watch a few korean and japan series before ...all ar.. either got cancer, or accident, or even HIV!!! or else you'll see A loves C, C loves B, B loves A, then everyone is very depressed.. alamak..i hate this kind of movies, that is why i don't watched taiwan series as well.. love here love there, cry here cry there...After watching these kind of movies, i'll feel very down and my mood totally affected.. ya i think i'm too into the movies already... but ar.. life is already full of ups and downs.. still need to watch these kind of movies to make our life even worst meh??

that is why when ppl asked me, what kind of movies i like? i'll say comedies!! those movie that i don't need to use my brain to think. hehe, true mar.. i'm using my brain all day long, when i watched movie, i'm hoping i could relax and enjoy, not giving my brain any pressure to solve the puzzle or watsoever..
