How to withdraw money from ATM using the Public Bank Visa Electron Debit Card

I finally received the pin number for my debit card from public bank last friday. Immediately I drove to the nearest public bank at my place to withdraw. I inserted the debit card into the atm, then entered the pin provided by public bank. After that i requested to change the pin, when i'm done, the atm returned my card to me.

Only 1 atm that is working and at that time, there's already 2 guys behind me, waiting for their turn. After changing the password, I insert my card again to the atm, i already heard the uncle behind me ngee ngee ngam ngam already. :p sorry lar, first time withdrawing mar.. So when i was at the screen, i did not know which option to choose. Why? Hmm, there's no withdraw option there? How am i suppose to withdraw? Which one should i choose? Cash Advance or Fast Cash?

Finally i picked the Fast Cash, but it didn't allow me to enter how much I want to withdraw, the atm returned my card and RM 200. Oo, so fast cash means withdraw RM 200 lar.. but i wanted to withdraw more!! ~sigh, so when i try to insert my card for the third time, i can feel that the 2 guys behind me cursing me la.. but dun care lar, so this time i picked the Cash Advance, and there's this screen for me to enter the amount that i wished to withdraw.

During the withdrawal, i saw there's a mesg saying RM1 will be charged, i did not finish reading the sentence carefully as i dowan to get beaten up by the two guys behind. After my withrawal, i decided to call up the customer service to ask about it cos from what i know there should not be any charges if i withdraw at the public bank's atm.

The customer service told me to withdraw using debit card, I need to choose cash advance and there's no charges if i withdraw at public bank's atm. If i withdraw at some other bank's atm, there will be a RM 10 transaction fees being charged. Phew, luckily i'm withdrawing at public bank's atm, else i'll kena charged for RM20 lor..

So if u want to withdraw using your public bank's debit card, remember to choose for Cash Advance ya!!

I got the PIN!!!!

After waiting for so so so many days, checking my mail box everyday regardless rainy or sunny day, finally i saw something i've been waiting for!! my public bank visa electron debit card's pin no. What's the pin for? to WITHDRAW money!!! yes yes yes, i got the pin i got the pin!!!

I am going to withdraw the money out and you won't be seeing me here over the weekend cos i'm going to spend my money!!!!!! hahahaha, just joking lar, i also wish i got that much to spend. I balik kampung la..

Successfully withdraw Paypal with Public Bank Visa Electron Debit Card

Surprised surprised surprised!!! I went to the public bank this morning to apply for the ebanking for my debit card. I got the pin no on the spot but the customer service asked me to wait till tomorrow 7pm before i can used it. When i got home just now, at about 7pm+, i decided to try it out. Just try lar, maybe i can used it leh, no harm trying right?

And guess what? I really can used it!! wow, tat's pretty fast right? Ya, i'm already quite happy and wait, i got some more good news! What's that? I login and checked on my transaction to get the code to verify my debit card on paypal and i don't believe what i saw!! Am i dreaming?? I saw my money from paypal that i withdraw on last friday!! WOW, WOW, WOW that's really really unexpected!!

I withdraw on friday morning, and the transaction showed money being transferred to my account on that same day, which is 9 of Nov! I thought we need to wait for at least 7 days? I haven't even verified my debit card on paypal yet!! That is just soooo fast..Everything is just so perfect except one, which is the conversion rate was kind of low, only 3.27.

I am SO SO SO SO happy till i remembered i have not received the pin that can enable me to withdraw money out from my debit card through ATM. Aiseh, guess have to wait again lar!!

p/s: sorry ar, i mata sepek, hehe, forgive me lar, i'm just so happy mar.. see the wrong date from a different transaction. the correct date should be 12 Nov, withdraw from money from paypal on 9-nov, friday, and got the money in my account on monday, 12 nov, so it's 3 days!! :p

Will my paypal withdrawal failed? ~ Part 2

I still haven't got any reply from paypal regarding the ticket i submitted yesterday. The delay is most probably due to the weekend, they don't work on weekends. I still don't know what will happened to my withdrawal, will they proceed even though i did not have my debit card verified? or will they refund the money back to me and charged me for a fee? ~sigh...

I login to my paypal to check on the status, I just need to know! It's driving me crazy!!! I was so surprised when I saw the status of my withdrawal changed from 'Pending' to 'Completed'!! Completed? Does that means I can withdraw even though i did not verify my debit card? Does that means that everything will be ok? Does that means I will be getting my money soon??

Wow, this status changed thing really gives me hope lar.. I just hope the status will not changed from 'Completed' to 'Refund'!!! Choy choy choy...!!! Nothing much i can do now, will wait for the reply from Paypal and see what they said, and probably check with public bank few days later.

Will my paypal withdrawal failed?

I knew it!! My first paypal withdrawal using my Public Bank Visa Electron Debit Card won't be that smooth. ~sigh... I was happily waiting for the money to be transferred to my debit card till i saw the comment from tenthofmarch. Don't you need to verify your debit card before the withdrawal??

Oh yes!! i totally forgot about that. ~sigh, i think i probably got too excited when i got the card this morning. After I got the card, i login to paypal to do the withdrawal. I did not click into the 'Add or Edit Credit Card' page to add my debit card. Instead, I clicked on the 'Withdraw' link, and then the 'Withdraw funds to your card' link. At that page, I was required to enter my visa debit card's detail such as the card no, expiry date, security code and etc. When i'm done, i was redirected to another page where i'm required to enter the amount that i want to withdraw. There's no message said that I need to verify my card before I can withdraw!!

The status of my withdrawal transaction is still 'Pending'. Although it's under 'Pending', the amount had already been deducted out. I wonder what will happened next, will paypal refund my money to me after they found out that my card is not being verified, or they still allowed me to withdraw? Please please please let me withdraw lar.. ~sigh.. I've submitted a ticket to paypal to ask them what will happened but I still got no reply from them. Oh god..~sigh.. no eye see..

FINALLY I got my Public Bank Visa Eletron Card!!

I got a letter from Public Bank on Wednesday informing me that my Public Bank Visa Electron Card is ready for collection. Hooray!! I requested them to withdraw the card from Pos Laju and sent it to the branch on last friday. Not too bad, this time I do not need to wait for that long.

So this morning i went to the branch at 9:30am to collect the card. Yes, you can see how desperate I am. After so many complaints, so many calls, and so many delayed, waiting and etc of cos I want to get the card and close case lar. Calling the customer service can be very frusfrating one.

What is the next thing I do after collected my card? Haha, you're right. It's withdraw money time!!! I added my card, then withdraw everything i have in paypal. Well, I don't have much there so don't worry it will over the paypal's limit. Now my transaction status is under pending.

After I've done with the transaction(status still shows pending), only I realized that i do not know how to withdraw the money from the ATM. I don't have any pin with me, how to withdraw? I called the customer service AGAIN.. and they said the pin will be sent to me in 2 weeks time. By that time the money should be in my debit card already gua?

~sigh, I don't know. Let's pray and hopefully everything will go smooth.

My Experience with the Public Bank Visa Electron Debit Card ~ Part 2

When i reached home about 7pm++ just now, i saw there's a note from pos laju sticked on my door. There's a courier item delivered to me and I cannot send representative to collect it! Courier item? nobody is sending anything to me and i did not apply any credit card recently, so the biggest possibility is from the Public Bank! Yes, the Visa Electron Debit Card!!!! But on the application form, i clearly stated that i wanted to collect the card at the branch, not delivered to me!!

Anyway, it can't be that fast what. The Pos Laju's note stated they delivered the item to me at about 12:30pm, I bank in the money around 10am this morning, cannot be that fast what, right? Within 2 hours they are able to send me the card? It is totally unbelievable!!

Nevermind, i told myself, i can collect the item tomorrow, then i will know what is that item!! oh wait, they closed on first saturday!! shit!! that means i can only collect the item next saturday. arggg, i don't think i can wait that long!! I decided to call up the pos laju customer service, their PosLine are from 8:30am - 9:30pm. good, i can still contact them. I did not wait very long for someone to answer my call. I told them can i redirect the item to be sent over to my office. After she checked, she said it's credit card, therefore they can't redirect it!!

Credit card? wow.. 90% confirmed is from Public Bank cos i did not apply any other card from any other bank. What now? Take leave to collect it? Nar, i do not want to waste my leave like that!! So how? wait till next saturday? Aiyar, don't lar, i do not want to wait for that long!! How how how?

I called the Public Bank customer service again, i guess today is my lucky day as i only need to wait about 2 minutes before someone answered my call! So i told the customer service about this item and i wanted her to check whether is it the debit card from Public Bank! and YES, she confirmed that it is the debit card from Public Bank! I then asked her to withdraw it from Pos Laju and send it to the branch, because i requested to send to the branch at the first place. It's there in their system, that i wanted to collect it at the branch, i do not know why they so clever go delivered it to my house!! Anyway she said she will send a request to get my card send over to the branch. So now, how long i need to wait? Well, she said probably by next wednesday, i will received a notice/letter from them to ask me to go collect.

seriously, i don't think i can get the card on wednesday. Why? You see, first they have to get the card from the Pos Laju and then resent out. I believe all this can only be arranged on next monday. Then they will need to mail me the notice which probably take another day or two. 3 days can gao tim so many things? well, i doubt that.

So now how? wait lor, wat else??

My Experience with the Public Bank Visa Electron Debit Card

I submitted my application to one of the Public Bank's branch on the 5th of October. After submitted for around 2 weeks, i called the customer service to check on my card application. I don' t know whether i'm just so unlucky, or all their customer service are not well trained. Everytime i called, i'm being answered by some RUDE customer service and it really makes my mood bad after talking to them.

Since I can't get any answers from calling the customer service, i decided not to waste anymore money on these useless phone calls. I decided to go to the branch to talk face to face to the customer service there. Of cos, it's not a pleasant conversation too, the branch showed me the documents from HQ, my application was being sent and confirmed received by the HQ on the 9 of October but why it's still not in the system? The answer they gave me? Asked me to wait and wait and wait. Hey, i'm not trying to get my card approved, i just hope that my application are submitted and entered to the system! I'm not asking too much right?

I called the customer service again to check, and this time, i also didn't get to talk to a polite customer service. ~sigh, public bank prefer hiring rude customer service izzit? I almost wanted to give up on the debit card and applied for the Al-Rajhi Bank's debit card when i was told by someone that Al-Rahji having problem in withrawing paypal. ~sigh... What can I do? They really leave me with no other option but to continue waiting for the public bank's debit card.

Finally last week, when i called to check on my card application status, i finally heard some good news. It says my card is now is being processed!! Oh Thank god! At least i know my application is being submitted and not lost in the space! Since then, i called everyday to check on the application status and then last friday(26-10-2007) when i checked, it says my application has been approved! phewww, FINALLY!!

So now what, card already approved, does that means i can go collect my card at the branch? I called the customer service to ask about this, and she told me i got to wait for the letter, then I have to bank in RM25 into the account. OK, so when i can get the letter? oo, in 1-2 weeks time!!

All right! I've already waited for so long, it doesn't make any different if i got to wait for another 1-2 weeks lar. So i stopped calling the public bank (don't want to waste anymore money!!) and patiently wait for the letter to arrive. and guess what? I got the letter yesterday(1-11-2007), much much earlier than i expected!!

There's nothing much on the letter, basically informed me that my card has been approved, and now i have to deposit RM25 to my account. If i did not deposit $$ into my account within 60 days, the card will be cancelled. So this morning, i went to the public bank's cash deposit machine and deposited RM30 into my account. Again, i called the customer service to check when can i get the card after i bank in the $$, he said by next wednesday or thursday, i should be able to collect my card at the branch.

Well, I don't know, i'm still waiting. So let's just wait and see whether i can really get the card or not by next week. Don't worry, i will definitely keep you guys informed!

Waiting and waiting and waiting...

After calling and calling, complaining and complaining about the Public Bank's bad customer service, I'm still waiting for my debit card's application to approve. har? thought u said you don't want the card? ~sigh, Ya ya i know i know, i did mention that i do not want the card anymore, i'm so geram with their service and i'm gonna apply the Al-Rajhi Bank's Debit card. then? what happened?

well, I gave up on Public Bank (after submitting my application for 2 weeks and the HQ and the branch said can't find my application?) and decided to go apply for Al-Rajhi Bank, then suddenly someone told me Al-Rajhi Bank can't used to withdraw $$ from paypal. Some said can, some said cannot, i also not sure whether can or cannot. So that left me no other option than to wait for the public bank's debit card to be approved. Why? cos it seems like nobody got problem with public bank's debit card. WHAT??? Does that mean i have to keep calling public bank? Apparently, yes.. ~sigh...

So there I go, everyday calling the customer service and checked on my application status. This morning, after pressing 1(for english), 1 again (for new card application status), entered my IC No. and i heard this mesg, "Your card has been APPROVED"!! YES! FINALLY! immediately i pressed '8' to speak to the customer service.

I asked when can i get the card, she told me to wait for the letter, then i asked her when can i get the letter, she said in 1-2 weeks time. ALAMAK!! one letter from kl to kl also need 1-2 weeks time ar? really pengsan...

So how's ur application going on? hope yours is faster than mine lar...sick of waiting (and yet i got no other option!!!! arggggg!!!!)

Public Bank? No THANK YOU!!! ~ Part 3

After I spoke to the customer service at the public bank branch yesterday, I decided to call the customer service hotline again, to double check on my card application status. They confirmed HQ received my application what, so nothing to do with the branch anymore lar..

Again after waiting and waiting, pressing and pressing, another rude customer service answered my call, when I told him the situation, he said, checked with the branch lar.. then i said i ALREADY checked with the branch, then he said checked with the HQ lar.. it makes me wonder, if got things happened i have to check with the branch or the HQ, why public bank hire you guys ar? just to tell me to check with the branch or check with the HQ??

I decided to gao dim this thing once and for all (sounds serious hor. hehe..) sick of wasting my money to call these customer service that doesn't help at all. I will gonna used my one hour lunch time to go talk to the branch customer service, until they gave me a satisfied answer. hehe don't worry, i'm not skipping my lunch for this.. :p i brought my lunch box... hehe..

I went there at 12pm sharp (less ppl ma..) there's 2 ppl before me.. i go pressed the number (ask ppl to press number, but end up they served those cut queue ppl first...what la...) so after being cut queue twice, i'm being served after half an hour later.

I explained the whole situation again, then again she called the customer service, enter my IC No. and yes, it's still not in their record. So she called someone, from the HQ i guess, to check. The HQ ppl asked her when she sent in, by who and blah blah blah.. and end up, asked me to wait till next week! i don't want to wait till next week!! i want everything to settle by today!! either tell me wat's my card application status, or i'll withdraw my application!

She seems happy when i said i want to withdraw my application, maybe becos she doens't need to follow up for me anymore gua.. So she told me, if you want to withdraw, and IF the HQ found your application, they will sent me a letter asking me to deposit RM 25. So what i need to do is ignore that letter and don't deposit that RM25. My card will be terminated automatically.. (dono when la..) So this is the solution she gave me.. so that i stop bugging her...

ok la, since u said so... i'll go apply from the Al-Rajhi Bank on monday.. I'm so glad that I don't need to call the public bank customer service again!!

After my conversation with the rude customer service yesterday, I went to the branch during lunch hour, to check about my debit card's APPLICATION status.. When i asked the customer service there, what she did is to call the number i called yesterday and asked me to enter my IC No. I told her i already called yesterday and they asked me to check with the branch. She ignored me and insisted me to enter my IC no TWICE.

After hearing 'Your Ic No is not in our record' twice, she decided to flip through the files. She showed it to me the date HQ received my application, which is on the 9-10-2007, last tuesday. So she said my application is with the HQ now.

HQ said checked with the branch, the branch said checked with the HQ, where the hell is my application?? I told her i just want to know the status, if confirmed HQ received it, then i need to know the status, if my application is not submitted yet, then i want to withdraw the application. I don't want that card anymore!

where's my application? middle of no where? lost in space?

I hate to call the customer service of banks/credit cards. I always complaint about the maybank customer service as i called that quite often cos i have both maybank account & credit card. I thought maybank have the worst customer service until recently i called the Public Bank customer service.

I applied the public bank visa electron card 2 weeks ago. Got the application form from the branch and submitted it to the branch as well. ya, I applied it for PPP. So after submitted for around 2 weeks, i heard no news about it, so i decided to call up the customer service and asked about it. I tried to call last friday around 7pm+, but after waiting for around 20 minutes, i gave up. I pressed 1 for English, then press for operator, waited for 2 minutes, i heard ' All our operator are busy, pls wait' for 3 times, then they requested me to press again..it's like they want to make sure whether i'm still interested to talk to the operator or not. HEY!! i'm calling the customer service, and nobody had talked to me yet, of cos i STILL want to talk to the operator!!! So every 2-3 minutes i need to press that stupid number to make sure i'm still on the queue to talk to the operator!! That is why after 20 minutes i gave up!!! Very frusfrating...

Today i tried calling again, around 6pm++, same thing happened, i kept pressing and pressing, so i decided to try later after i waited for 10 minutes. About 10pm, i tried again, pressed the number for checking the card status, then i was required to enter my IC no. I entered but my IC no was not found. So i decided to talk to the operator to see why after 2 weeks my record is still not there...I waited for 2 minutes before someone answer the phone, and this guy, is very very very rude..

J: Hi, I'm Joyce. (I have to greet him first!! and see how he answered!!!)
C: hmmm.... (not even greeting me back.. just said hmmm... so now who's the customer service????!!!!!!)
J: erm, i would like to check on my card status.
C: card no pls..
J: (if i got the card, i still need to check status meh?? what kind of status i need to check if i got the card with me????) erm, i don't have the card... (and i haven't finished my sentence..he said with a very RUDE voice!!)
C: if you don't have the card, you should say you want to check for the card APPLICATION STATUS!!!
J: (wahseh, how am i suppose to know when i got the card i still need to check for status? other bank doesn't requires me to check the card status when i got the card!!!!) ok, then i need to check for my card APPLICATION status...
C: IC pls..
J: xxxxxx-xx-xxxx
C: not in the record
J: ya i know just now i entered to the system and the system said doesn't have my record, i just want to know why after 2 weeks i submitted it still not in the system yet..
C: it means ur application haven't reached the HQ yet, check with the branch!
J: 2 weeks also haven't reached the HQ?
C: yes checked with the branch!!!!

see how rude their customer service is? public bank doesn't pay him? or he's still in holiday mood? don't feel like picking up calls? I'm going to public bank branch tomorrow, if they said don't know where's my application, i will tell them i DON'T WANT to apply for that card ANYMORE! I am the customer, and I some more need to pay RM24 for the annual fees, am i suppose to be treated like tat?? sorry lar, if you don't treat ur customer well, i believe some other banks will treat their customer well.

now i understand why 5xmom kept promoting al-rajhi bank instead of public bank!! I TOTALLY agreed with her!!!
