The So Called Chicken Rice

Want to know how to cook chicken rice in 15 minutes? Try this.

Chop chicken into small pieces, seasoned with ginger, sesame oil, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce.
Leave it over night.

The next day, cook rice, when the water is boiling, pour in the chicken, stir well, and wait for the rice to cook.

easy right? I named it the so called chicken rice, hehe, not the original chicken rice mar, is just chicken with rice. wuahahahahahha, dono what i'm talking here.

Mmmm, thanks for the recipe... though I think I'll modify it a bit... I'll brown the chicken a little bit (more flavor) before adding to the rice.

ya ya, you can add whatever you want when you seasoned the chicken.

When you say brown, do you mean adding the dark soy sauce?

I think i'll add in some chili powder next time when i seasoned the chicken. :p

I mean, frying it just a little in oil until the skin (or outside parts) get a nice golden brown colour. Maybe 2 to 3 minutes. Browning always seems to kick up the flavour just a bit more. Of course, it adds an extra step (more hassle + more cleaning, hehe).

Ah, chili powder. Yeah, that'd be nice. I might even try smoked paprika (adds that nice "smokey bbq" flavour).

oo, ya ya, frying it makes it more delicious..

actually the traditional chicken rice, they will fry the chicken together with the rice, only put it into the rice cooker..

but more oily la..

smoked paprika, never heard that b4, where can i get that?
