Which notebook brand is the best? ~ Part 2
After the conversation with my brother, the following day, which is yesterday, my brother called me 6 times asking me to go to JB to accompany him to go to JB's PIKOM pc fair!! I kept saying no caused, it's already saturday afternoon, 2pm++ and i still got a lot of house works needs to be done, and JB is quite far leh, almost 4 hours there, then the next day i have to rush back, super tiring!!
But after receiving 6 calls from him, ~sigh, i decided to go lor.. ya i know i'm such a good sister, hehe.. purposely go there to help him buy a notebook, kl pc fair i also nv go leh...
so there we go, 4pm++, on my way to JB... reached there about 8pm..
the next day after breakfast, we headed to City Square, where the PIKOM pc fair was held. JB pc fair is totally different than kl, only around 10 booths participated. not even 1/10 as big as KL one.. ~sigh, like tat buy or not buy in pc fair also does not make any difference lar.. cos can't really compare also...
so i go asked here and there, i see that most of the notebooks now comes with windows vista, of cos we can opt for windows xp, but extra charge lor...
so after i gathered all the information, i asked my brother which one he liked. To him all he can choose is the outlook only, so finally we decided to get the compaq one.. design nice, specs nice also and most importantly price affordable!!
so there's only 2 booths selling compaq's notebook, we went over to booth A, this gal, thought i know nothing about pc.. told me that windows xp is going to obsolete, she said, NOBODY will be using xp by next year, and i will definitely regret if i insists that i want windows XP. (the reason i wanted xp is becos my brother's inventory system doesn't supports vista...). so i looked at her and told her, so if i INSIST that i want XP, are u able to install it or not? then she go discussed with another guy. this guy is even worst, and super rude... see how's our conversation like..
g: you want xp?
j: yes.. how much more?
g: RM 300 lor.. but why want xp? vista better..
j: i want xp, so how long u need to install?
g: xp got a bit problem, cos now compaq notebook only supports vista..
j: (you think i stupid ar? compaq notebooks only support vista?) do you mean that i can't install xp if i buy compaq notebooks?
g: errr... no lar, but it will be very difficult for me to install xp for you.. u may need to wait until next week only can get the notebook.
j: difficult? (what the hell) what so difficult?
g: cos now all supports vista mar.. so if u want xp, then i need to online search for the drivers..
j: (wah, he still trying to bullshit with me!!! i totally lost my patience!!!) so u can do it or not?
g: difficult lor....
j: k fine! thanks. i'll go buy with someone that knows HOW TO INSTALL!!!!
i totally lost my patience with this sales man. He's so rude and the way he talked is like he doesn't want to earn money.. now notebooks only can support vista, nobody will used xp by next year... come on lar, u think JB ppl all that stupid ar.. if you want to persuade ppl to use vista also find a better excuse lar.. don't come sell notebook if you yourself don't know how to install lar.. damn it!!
so i went to another booth, which provides BETTER service. Price is the same, and they don't understand why that guy say installing windows xp is difficult!!!
and i think we got a very good deal.. here's the specs...

Hey,,i thk u guys bought the rite notebook..HP Compaq..I also have that notebook. If compare other brand, Toshiba is a good brand of coz expensive, if u buy the low price of Toshiba notebook, the spec also low if u compare the similar price with Compaq, I thk Compaq is better. More user friendly, reliable and warranty is that. If Dell...emmm warranty from penang, NEC call centre also from penang. HP centre at D'sara only, after from HELP to KL on ur left..1 thg u will be surprised is HP call centre from where..u know?????
INDIA.....The world 1st chosen and preference, largest call centre!!! local call charges, don't worry!!They speak indian slan english with u but service very good, follow thereafter.
Lastly, I am not from HP huh!!!
ya exactly, toshiba around that price but lower spec, some more they don't allow us to change from vista to xp, and it doesn't look as nice as compaq!!
to cont'd; most of the sales ppl are stupid!!!because they thk we r stupid yet they don't knw we reliased that!!I expenriced few times of this ppl, b4 i buy somethg sure will ask ppl who is expert!!So when they bullshit to me, I just keep quiet n smilex2 only.

er...actually rite, all of the hp notebooks recently are out with Vista preloaded. The main reason they tell you it cant install XP is that HP itself do not provide any drivers for XP for HP consumer notbeooks. And most cust they will need to dl drivers by themselves. And if you want drivers for XP, can dl from www.hp.com.my/store, but its incomplete. That's why he persuaded u to take Vista. But true enough, he doesnt know how to explain properly to cust and attitude prob..
